FitMe’s colourful take on modern streetwear has seen it quickly become one of the UK’s most exciting new fashion brands.
FitMe is a new, independent and black-owned streetwear brand that’s currently leaving its mark on the world of fashion – and as of March 2021, it’s hit the online pages of ASOS Marketplace with a bang. The beginning of the FitMe brand was, as you’d expect, small, starting in the living room of founder Tex-Roi McKay in North London before growing rapidly to demand the extra space afforded by a converted warehouse. In its early days in 2018, the brand would mainly print t-shirts for local buyers and small art groups, but it’s now hit exceptional heights and gone on to produce high quality unisex accessories and loungewear – from stylish hooded puffer jackets to the freshest tracksuits.
The team behind the FitMe brand makes sure to inject diversity into everything they create, and takes great pride in doing so. Models of all races are featured on its official website, a diverse range of employees are hired and the materials used in its clothes are developed by London-based, Black street artists themselves. After scoring a big deal which saw their ‘Inspired For You’ collection featured on the ASOS marketplace, the FitMe brand has only gone from strength to strength despite the problems posed by the global pandemic – it seems there’s not much that can hold this brand back.
Creating fashionable, unique clothing is the ultimate goal for this new fashion brand. The company mission describes an ambition “to create high-quality clothing ‘Inspired For You’”, hence the name of its aforementioned collection. Standing out in an already-crowded market of UK-based creators is key for those working behind the scenes of FitMe, and their aim is to create clothing that captures the streetwear vibe of London while producing pieces inspired by FitMe’s existing customers and target audience. FitMe’s clothes come with a message. The collections produced by the brand ultimately want to tell a story, with bright colours and unique designs that look to instil confidence in FitMe’s wearers.
The number of positive online reviews has been through the roof, and it’s clear why people love this emerging brand. The quality of the pieces has been labelled as “exceptional” and the designs “out of this world” – it’s clear that FitMe is fast becoming a household name for top quality UK streetwear. So, if you’re in need of some new comfortable and stylish staple pieces to add to your wardrobe, head to the FitMe website or ASOS marketplace and have a scroll – there’s even a few limited edition, handcrafted pieces up for grabs.
