What to Add to Your Wishlist For Autumn/Winter 2023

What to Add to Your Wishlist For Autumn/Winter 2023

Words by Alex Taylor

We’ve got you covered for the upcoming Autumn/Winter season, with our pick of sustainable pieces for your wardrobe.

If you live in the UK you already know not to expect much from a British summer, and this year is no exception with what has felt like two seconds of sun. It’s time to pack up the beach towel already, all thanks to you, Storm Antoni.

But, there is a light at the end of this dreary, rainy, windy tunnel: the perfect opportunity to look forward to this year’s autumn/winter fashion and, let’s be real, autumn is arguably one of the most exciting seasons to dress for. The colours, the textures, the layering. Need we say more?

Whether you’re going out or staying in, we’re here to show you what’s trending and – this time – with a sustainable twist. So, as you prep your wardrobes for the (increasingly) chillier weather, we urge you to maybe shop more consciously by checking out some of our best-loved sustainable brands and our favourite items that they’re stocking right now.

Reformation

Reformation is a statement-piece heavyweight that was originally launched back in 2009 as a vintage clothing business. As they transitioned into the realms of creating their own products, sustainability remained at the forefront of their efforts, with their core mission being to ‘bring sustainable fashion to everyone’. If you’re looking to turn heads and for the guarantee that at least one person will ask, “Where’s your dress from?”, run to Reformation for your next unique purchase.

Some of our current favourites include Taxi Maxi Denim Skirt, Joana Dress, and Mason Pants.

Gramicci

People have been wearing Gramicci since 1982, but thanks to some recent product launches, smart collaborations and well-placed influencer marketing, the brand has enjoyed a true resurgence over the past few years, and we are completely here for it (is it acceptable to wear the G-shorts every day of the week?). Priding themselves in creating long-lasting outdoor wear, Gramicci’s collections are inherently sustainable due to the quality of the materials used in order to achieve this longevity. Speaking of G-shorts, technically, they don’t belong on an autumn/winter wishlist, but they’re just so good they’re going in there anyway. Winter holiday, anyone?

Apart from our (obvious) love for the G-Shorts, we’re also feeling the Sherpa Jacket and Salomon Techsonic trainers.

Susamusa

Having launched in the turbulent year of 2020, Susamusa is still relatively new to the game. But don’t be mistaken: this brand is here to shake up the scene. Many of their pieces have already become iconic, and you’ll catch them trending across the likes of TikTok and Instagram. Susamusa is opposed to trends and only releases small collections each year, making it an ideal brand to turn to when searching for elevated basics. Think little black mini dresses, backless tops, and matching sets. What’s not to love?

Our recommendations include the legendary Gina top, the Jasmine Dress, and reversible Nova top.

House of Sunny

House of Sunny is famous for its limited releases comprising incredibly unique designs that stand out from the crowd. If you didn’t see the Hockney dress take over the internet, where have you been? As we wait for their AW collection to officially launch, you can still nab some end-of-season steals for a fraction of the price. Items we would go for in the transition to colder weather include their jumpers, denim, and bags.

Some of our favourites include the Sunwashed Limes Knit, Sling Bag, and Hypnotise Dune Crew.

Pangaia

Pangaia is where comfort meets style. Hoodies, sweatshirts, shorts, joggers. They’ve got it all. And being a B-Corp that largely uses organic cotton and eco-friendly materials in the creation of their products, they’re great for the planet, too.

They have plenty of different colours and styles to choose from, but some of our current favourites are the Off-White Hoodie, Dragon Fruit Red Shorts, and Cobalt Blue Sweatshirt.

Love these brands Autumn/Winter picks as much as we do? Be sure to tag us in your next Instagram OOTD sporting these sustainable names.
