Louis Vuitton has announced the return of the Archlight and this time Jaden Smith is an ambassador.
In 2018, Louis Vuitton launched their Archlight trainers and the look made waves in the fashion world. Since then, we have seen various styles of the shoe including boots and sandals in a range of colours. 2023, however, marks the complete re-imagination of the look as the Archlight 2.0 was announced earlier this week.
Louis Vuitton took to Instagram to share the news, writing:
“The new #LVArchlight 2.0. #ChloeGraceMoretz, #JadenSmith, and #SamLi personify the three audacious aesthetics, inspired by @NicolasGhesquiere’s iconic sneaker: LV Stage, LV Mansion, and LV Cottage lines.”
In a post featuring both Jaden Smith and Mona Tougaard, Smith sports the LV Maison line which is described as having “a gothic influence”. The monochromatic black shoes are available in three styles; a pair of trainers, ankle boots or moccasins.
The collection also includes the LV Stage, a more vibrant alternative to the LV Maison, featuring metallic and fluorescent accents. The ambassador for this sportier style is none other than footballer Sam Li. The final style in the drop is the LV Cottage line which incorporates a more natural and outdoorsy aesthetic, modelled by actress Chloe Grace Moretz.
