Colder nights are here, which in current times, means going out less and staying in more. To fill up your time, you’ll need things to watch – here are some Netflix shows to get you through this September.
Anelka, Misunderstood
Netflix is having a bit of an obsession with sports documentaries, and we couldn’t be happier. After the success of Michael Jordan’s The Last Dance, football’s Anelka is the next to have his story told on the streaming site. Did he deserve his bad-boy reputation or was he in truth, a footballing genius? All these questions are answered by the man himself.
Fauda
The undercover operations which take place in Fauda make other more familiar police dramas look like child’s play. The backdrop of the growing tensions in the region makes it all the more nail-biting. Netflix just released season 3, which should tell you something about the success of the show with audiences worldwide; and if you haven’t seen seasons one and two, you have all the more reason to binge-watch it this September.
Criminal
In the UK, we have a bit of an obsession with crime drama TV shows. From Sherlock to Luther, audiences can’t enough of a detective vs criminal chase. Lucky for you, Netflix keeps producing good crime dramas. Season 2 of Criminal is out, and trust us, you don’t want to miss it.

Money Heist
Netflix has made a lot of popular shows, but few are more popular than Money Heist. It’s part of a number of brilliant Spanish shows on the streaming sites which has fans absolutely hooked. The series follows a super-intelligent professor who recruits a group of eight fearless people to carry out a grand robbery in the Royal Mint of Spain, the first-ever heist in Spanish history. If you’ve already seen it, it’s worth refreshing your memory with all four seasons; and if you haven’t, seriously, what are you waiting for?
Enola Holmes
It turns out that Sherlock Holmes has a little sister, who may be just as smart, or even smarter than he is. In search of her missing mother, she outsmarts her elder brothers Sherlock and Mycroft and helps a runaway lord. A brilliant watch for all fans obsessed with the man who lives at 221B Baker Street.
What Happened To Monday
This 2017 science fiction thriller film brings the big Hollywood blockbuster feeling straight to your living room. Set in a future where there is a strict one-child policy due to overpopulation, 7 identical septuplet sisters, who are all named after days of the week (and can only leave the house on the day they’re named after), go under the radar pretending to be one person in order to avoid execution. Action-packed fight scenes, great use of CGI technology and a family story at its heart: What happened to Monday is a must watch this autumn.

The drama series based on the true-life story of Madam C.J Walker takes inspiration to the next level. It documents the rags to riches journey of the hard-working Madam CJ Walker, who was the first female self-made millionaire in 1913 America. The series does well to illustrate all the trails, tribulations, victories she experienced. Her story has inspired thousands of people and entrepreneurs, and it’ll inspire you too.
