It’s official, we’re all bored of lockdown. Some are even keen to get back to work. For many photography enthusiasts, your picture-perfect Instagram feed would’ve taken a hit; and as lockdown eases, you’ll be keen to catch up on all those picture-perfect moments you’ve missed. Here are some amazing Instagram worthy spots in London you need to visit:

God’s Own Junkyard, Walthamstow East

Located in Walthamstow East London, God’s Own Junkyard has become the ultimate neon paradise. Since it’s feature on the cover of Vogue in 2011, it’s become a staple for those an eye for art and design in London. The vibrant neon and the artistically displayed vintage signs, which were all designed by the legendary artist Chris Bracey, have made the gallery the go-to place if you want to impress. It’s Vegas in London.

If you find yourself so impressed that you’re unable to leave, you’ll be able to take a piece of the Junkyard with you – the signs are available for purchase directly in the gallery. Trip Advisor users also highly approve of this quirky but trendy gallery and describe the Junkyward as “an out of this world experience” and “a visual dream”. So If you’re looking for something quirky and immersive to view whilst in London, look no further than God’s Own Junkyard.

Yayoi Kusama Infinity Room, Tate Modern

Located in the Tate Modern gallery, Kusama’s two Infinity Rooms are a jaw-dropper.

Kusama’s two Infinity Rooms, which can be found in the Tate Modern gallery, are jaw-dropping. It was first opened in May this year and although lockdown was imposed, it gained attention—massive attention. Its popularity is down to it’s brilliant and celebrated designer: Yayoi Kusama of Japan. Throughout her career, she’s been inspired by all things space – she first turned her love for space into a vision when she created her Infinity Room exhibition in 1965. If you’re itching to take your next Instagram photo in her exhibition, you’ll need to hurry – it’s open until May 2021.

Kyoto Gardens – Holland Park

This is London’s version of a scenic Japanese garden, and it works. Filled with tranquil waterfalls, contemporary Japanese architecture and Japanese maple trees, Kyoto Garden brings the peacefulness of Japan to the fast-paced—and sometimes craziness of London – creating the perfect oasis balance. First opened in 1991, London’s Kyoto Garden was a gift from the city of Kyoto to celebrate a long friendship between Japan and Great Britain. Since its opening, the garden has had major popularity with locals who want an escape from the typical buzzing City atmosphere. So head down to the beautiful Kyoto Gardens with a friend and relax. Not only is it free, but there are even a few peacocks roaming around to get a picture with. What’s not to love?
